Visit of Research Collaborators from University College London
Professors Nora H. de Leeuw and Richard Catlow from the University College London visited the Department from 17th - 20th November, 2014. Professors de Leeuw and Catlow are research collaborators in computational materials science with the Molecular Modeling Centre here in our Department, under the sponsorship of the UK's Royal Society and the Lverhulme Trust. Catlow is the Dean of UCL's Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and a renowned authority in Computational Solid State Chemistry. Professor de Leeuw is the Deputy Head (Research) of UCL's Department of Chemistry and Director of the Industrial Doctorate Centre for Molecular Modelling and Materials Science. The intensive three-day session involved research seminars and discussions on the future of computational chemistry in the Department and the continent.
